Week in photos #3

week in photos #3 | robowecop

Happy Wednesday, everybody! As you probably know by now, Wednesday’s on robowecop mean 2 things: a new weekly vlog and a new week in photos post! Last week I didn’t manage to get up a week in photos post because I was DYING. (Okay, maybe not actually dying – but I was super poorly. Soz.) But I’m back this week and hopefully all will be back to normal now!

Because I was dying, there aren’t many photos from the middle of the week. But, even though I was ill it was still a really fab week.

It started off with a bank holiday weekend, followed by 2 days off work. Which meant, for me, that I had a massive 6 days off work and good lord did I need it! It was so nice to have a break, I can’t even tell you. I celebrated with cake for breakfast because why the hell not. Joe’s parents went away on Bank Holiday Monday, meaning we had the place to ourselves for the week. We binge-watched an entire season of Jane The Virgin in 2 days, watched a lot of Harry Potter and just generally chilled out – it was lovely. (If you haven’t seen Jane The Virgin yet, it’s on Netflix and it’s my new obsession – we were totally hooked!)

With the arrival of the new bed (and the new mattress arrived later in the week – more on that later) we started unpacking the stuff we got from IKEA last week and filling the new under-bed drawers. It’s so nice to actually have some space and to officially be able to say I now live with Joe. (Even though I practically lived there anyway…)

I was struck down with a nasty illness on Tuesday night and I was seriously suffering on Wednesday (I’m still suffering now! *sobs*) meaning I had to miss my bae Newton Faulkner, which I don’t think I’ll ever not be sad about. But, looking on the bright side, our new mattress arrived and oh my god it’s amazing. I’ve never slept so well and my back ache (which I assumed was primarily because of an operation I had) has almost completely gone! I was actually very kindly gifted the mattress from Leesa (there will be more on this in a separate post) and you can get £50 off your own Leesa mattress here. If you’re looking for a new one, I’d definitely recommend it – we’re both sleeping like babies!

Thursday and Friday were spent back at work and feeling very sorry for myself, but we did start trying out some of the recipes from The Body Coach’s 90 Day SSS plan (which we will be officially starting on Monday! Yikes!) and we’re getting very excited – the food is nothing other than lush.

Saturday was the highlight of my week. Myself and only 3 other bloggers (still feeling rather special!) were invited down to London for the day to have a fun-filled day with my favourite brand, Witch Skincare, to celebrate their 50th birthday and to be given exclusive previews of some new products they have in the pipeline! We made our own flower crowns, had our makeup done, ate lots of cake and spent the day in a flat in Notting Hill that could have come straight out of Grand Designs. It was the most amazing day and I can’t thank Witch Skincare enough for having us! I can’t wait to tell you about their new products because I’ve been using them all week and they are AMAZING.

My new bullet journal arrived! My other one was sadly ruined in an incident involving a cup of tea (more on that here) so I ordered a bright yellow one to replace it. And I was sent a surprise care package from Viridian Nutrition when they saw I was poorly on Twitter – SO kind! Thank you guy so much!

So, even though I was poorly for most of the week, it was pretty fab and left me feeling incredibly lucky. It was one of those weeks where I could reflect on what I have, the amazing opportunities I’m given and how much I love this little blog of mine. I can only apologise for being a little AWOL recently, but I think I’m getting back to my blog happy place. Thanks to all of you guys for always sticking around.

That mattress sounds blimmin’ good. Shame you had to miss Newton. Love that dude! Haven’t listened to him for years! I think I’ve seen him live like…three times? Once when he was supporting Paolo Nutini (if I remember correctly) and then twice on his own. He’s actually doing a gig down the road (okay a 10 minute drive from where I live) at the end of this month. If I’m not working, I may try and see if I can get a ticket!
