what is the uncool club?

The Uncool Club is a weekly, community-led newsletter and Facebook group for those of us who have given up on trying to fit into the "cool girl" box. An antidote to the world's expectations on people to have their sh*t together, a dose of happy to combat the relentless depressing news cycle, and the knowledge that you're never alone.

I created The Uncool Club as someone who has always felt just that - uncool. Not that it's a bad thing, of course. In fact, I'm not sure many people relate to the typical 'cool girl' anymore. But there's still an expectation to look a certain way, be a certain person and do things in a certain way that I've never fully related to.

I know I'm not the only person out there who is sort of winging life and hoping for the best. And that's why The Uncool Club was created.

If you don't feel like you fit into a certain box, if you're making your way through life not really knowing if you're "doing it right", if you're looking for a gang of people who feel exactly the same, this is the place for you.

Our Facebook page (click here to join!) is a hub of positivity, community and just plain fun. It's a place to chat about our days, struggles, wins, and hobbies. A place to make friends and be part of a community that reminds us we aren't alone and there's no "right way" of doing something.

The newsletter is filled with everything from music to food, personal development to DIYs, and mental health to money. With submissions from other members, guides, printables, and a tonne of other freebies, The Uncool Club is here as your guide to life!

Stick your name and email in the signup box below and come join the fun! You'll also get a free printable daily planner if you sign up!

Submit to The Uncool Club's 'A Day In The Life'

A Day In The Life is a series which runs as part of The Uncool Club newsletter. Every issue, a member of The Uncool Club shares an insight into their daily life. The focuses are usually very different and submissions have ranged from being focussed on the member's career, faith, sexuality, health, and more. I think it's important to be aware of other people's experiences - we're a diverse bunch, and I believe that should be celebrated! A Day In The Life is a great way to share your story as part of a safe, inclusive, community-led environment and so far we've had some great submissions. If you'd like to submit your story to A Day In The Life, and be featured in a future newsletter, click the link below for more information and the submission form!

We also accept submissions of other kinds - anything goes! Long form content, short form content, fiction, non-fiction, art, poetry, anything you'd like to share we'd love to share it. Email hello@theuncoolclub.co.uk to chat about it!
