Remember ages ago when I said I wanted to do more “small” content? Things like “oh hey look at this lipstick I love right now”, “we went for dinner at this place and it was delish” or “there’s this one item of clothing that you need in your wardrobes right now”.
Well, this one is the latter. There’s this one item of clothing that you need in your wardrobes right now.
That item of clothing? THIS glorious piece of snuggle. This green, chunky knit, roll neck jumper that may as well be a giant hug.
The green jumper I am referring to is from River Island and it’s my single favourite piece of clothing. That I’ve ever owned. Honestly? I’m getting bored of the cold. This has never happened to me before – I’m usually a big fan of Winter and not-so-keen on that hideous ~British heat~ we seem to get every year. But this year? I don’t know if it’s the heating bills that come with living in a flat with electric heaters or just the fact this winter has felt so relentless, but I’m done now.
That is, until I put on this jumper. Then I want to live in Arendelle in a never-ending Winter so I never have to take it off.

Why do I love it so much? First of all… have you seen it?
Secondly – it’s soft. I hate how often I’ll find the jumper of my dreams, try it on and instantly want to scratch off every inch of skin on my upper body because of the dreaded wool itch.
Thirdly, I feel so fucking COOL whenever I wear it. That type of “oh, this old thing? I just grabbed it out of the wardrobe and threw it on with no thought whatsoever and yes I do look effortlessly amazing” cool. Especially as I’ve styled it in the images, tucked into some black jeans with an oversized jacket and some slip on trainers.
Finally? The colour. I’ve never been drawn to anything green before I saw this and now I’m obsessed. Apparently green is my colour and I am a-okay with it.
Long story short, can I wear this jumper for ever and never take it off? Thanks a bunch.
(It’s currently flipping out of stock and it wasn’t when I wrote this post, so I’ll keep an eye out for you all and let you know when it’s back!)

*THE green jumper, the jacket and the shoes mentioned in this post were kindly sent to me by River Island in exchange for a cheeky mention on the blog. But all unrequited love for green knitwear in this post is entirely my own.
