I’M FINALLY WRITING CONTENT ABOUT OUR TRIP TO ROME! I know. It’s been like 3 weeks and I still haven’t written anything. I’m a terrible person and I deserve a slap on the wrist. Life has been busy, okay? And it’s all coming for you now, so it’s all good!
I asked on Twitter what sort of travel content you guys like to see, and a massive amount of you said you love photo diaries. This is a-okay with me because we took SO many photos and I want to show them off without overloading you in every post I write. Some travel content has to be about, you know, the content.
For those who aren’t aware, Joe and I spent a few days in Rome at the beginning of February. We’d never been before and it had been at the top of both our lists for a really long time, so it’s safe to say we were excited.
We saw as many sights as we physically could, ate as much pasta as our bellies would allow, drank far too much wine and almost got sunburn. In FEBRUARY. Seriously, it rained until we arrived and rained when we left. Then this week, they’ve had the first snow in six years. So when I say we were lucky with the weather, I mean it!
I was a little weary about going somewhere where we’d be spending so much time outside in February, but it wasn’t a problem at all. Although we did get some funny looks from Italians in their big coats and scarves whilst we were in sunglasses, t-shirts and denim jackets…
Rome absolutely and completely stole my heart. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen so in love with a place so quickly! If I had the means, I’d happily up and move there tomorrow no questions asked. The people, the food, the history, everything was just incredible and I already can’t wait to go back.
Anyway, I have TONNES of Rome content planned for the next few weeks but, until then, enjoy a look at some of the photos we took from our stay! And stay tuned for some more content coming your way.
*Our trip to Rome was complimentary thanks to the wonderful people at Jet2.com in return for coverage on my blog. I can’t thank them enough for such an ace opportunity and I think it goes without saying that all Rome-based excitement and opinions are 100% my own! You all MUST visit if you get the chance.
