Gifting fragrance for Christmas

Hello hello hello! (10 points to you if you read that in RuPaul’s voice).

Before I start this post, I just wanted to give you an apology for disappearing for a few weeks. If you read my last post (which was posted nearly 3 weeks ago… oops) you’ll know we’re moving house soon! We’re moving into our first little flat together in under 2 weeks now, and although we’re bouncing off the walls with excitement, there’s a LOT to do and blogging has taken a back seat whilst we get sorted.

Once we’ve moved in and settled, all will be back to normal. And keep your eyes on my YouTube channel for some moving vlogs!

Anyway, on with the post.

I feel like everyone is getting in the Christmas spirit earlier than normal this year? I mean, I always make the transformation from pumpkin-hoarding, scary-film-watching witch, to gingerbread-making, jumper-wearing elf as soon as it hits 00:01 on November 1st anyway. But this year everyone seems to be matching my excessively festive spirit?

I don’t know why, but I’m here for it.

Honestly, one of my favourite things about Christmas is buying gifts for those I love. I’m a bit of a Leslie Knope when it comes to present buying, and I just find it so fun hunting for *that* perfect present.

This year, however. It’s becoming a bit of a struggle. Because we’re moving into our first flat, our Christmas budget is much smaller and we have much less time to present shop than normal. I’m having to spend all my free time shopping for sofas and lamps, rather than gifts for my friends and family.

Joe and I were brainstorming gifts to get each other, and gifts to get other people and for a lot of people, we settled on fragrances.

I, for one, love receiving perfume as a gift. I like to have a few perfumes on the go at once because the scent I wear definitely depends on my mood. But I have some weird objection to buying it for myself? (Anyone else like this? I always get a bit annoyed if I have to buy my own??)

I also love buying fragrances for other people, because it’s a fairly easy gift, it’s a good way of saving yourself time and money whilst still allowing for some personality and thought. I can still put thought into buying someone a fragrance for Christmas, and I can still make it a personal gift without it taking up too much of my “oh holy crap we’re moving in 2 weeks and still don’t have any furniture” time.

It’s probably a good thing that I forget to wear perfume 90% of the time, because I literally NEVER buy it for myself! My collection just grows every Christmas because I barely ever use it, but always get it as a gift – I love that though, because when I do wear it, I have loads to choose from and can match it to my mood. Xxx

Yanno I don’t actually think I have ever bought myself a perfume before, it’s always been a gift of some sort. I am LOVING the perfumes from Next at the mo, my Mum had said there was a dupe for the Marc Jacobs Daisy as well. I’ve already got it on the list for two gifts so far. Can I also just say your photography in this post is absolutely GORGEOUS!

Haha, I get the whole not wanting to buy perfume for yourself, its definitely a gift thing isn’t it!? I ran out of mine at the beginning of summer and haven’t worn any since because I was waiting for someone to buy me some! Haha! Really wanna try the Chloe perfume, so this might have to go on my Christmas list!
